Even reaching this grand final is a guarantee of recognition and notoriety, since this prestigious competition has become a benchmark in the sector.
It took place on the grandiose stage of the Arena Concours, as part of the Sirha show, an unmissable event in the city of Lyon in terms of Food Services and hospitality.
Madagascar, thanks to its prowess, was once again able to reach this grand final, entering the arena of professionals from around the world with 11 other participants in the running, who, it must be admitted, are formidable competitors. Among the latter, there is the United States, the reigning champion who won the 2023 World Cup, France, the champion of this 2025 edition, followed by Italy in second place on the podium and Japan in third. place, without forgetting Chile, Morocco, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Vietnam, Belgium and Mexico.
All the competing teams competed in creativity, innovation and know-how.
For Madagascar in particular, this is a second participation for the Malagasy team which is made up of Fenosoa Rahajamalala and Bodo Sophie Rakotovao, under the well-established coaching of chef Lalaina Ravelomanana.
In 2023, during its last participation, Madagascar was ranked 4th, narrowly approaching the podium. No podium for the Malagasy team this time again but they will not return empty-handed and even see their efforts rewarded. She indeed won the Best Dessert Prize, thanks to her version of the chocolate-vanilla cake which won over the jurors.
