This first weekend of May promises to be very festive. Many concert and shows programs are planned in the capital. One of the most striking will be the Tsika Jiaby festival.
As promised by its organizers, Tsika Jiaby festival will have a Malagasy edition. The meeting is fast approaching since the festival will take place tomorrow and Sunday, at the Barea stadium.
As a reminder, Festival Tsika Jiaby, the largest Malagasy festival in Europe, was initiated in Paris by Mam’s Event during the Pentecost weekend, in May 2024. A major event since he managed to bring together 150 Malagasy artists in the same place in three days to thousands of kilometers from the big island. After the Malagasy edition, the second edition of the festival will take place in France from June 6 to 9 in Marolles-en-Brie, for four days of celebration.
For the Tananarivian edition, 16 artists will share the scene during the two days of the event, that Mamy Rakotoseheno, the founder of Mam’s Event, placed under the leadership of Ivenco, with regard to technical aspects.
Every day, fifteen Malagasy artists from all over the big island will succeed one another, promising a festive and unifying festival.
From 10 a.m., make way for the mood with various animations and games for young and old. From 12 noon, make way for a concert discovery highlighting emerging Malagasy artists, with promising talents. The public can then revel in six hours of non-stop concerts, with the biggest names in Malagasy music. Samoëla, Mage 4 and Tanjona Randrianarivelo will be playing for tomorrow; Jaojoby, Mily Clément and Zay, will heat the atmosphere on Sunday afternoon. Mily Clément is also ready to seize this opportunity to sign his comeback on the music scene, after a long period of lull.
Catering stands will offer local flavors to complete the experience of the festival. The objective is to celebrate music, to highlight the talents still little known locally and internationally, and to honor Malagasy culture, in particular through culinary experiences. On the sidelines of this, the programming also provides an after DJ party to make the public dance until the end of the night, without forgetting the karaoke space which will allow them to reveal their voice.
Tickets are already on sale on ticketplace.io and in the Mass’I points of sale.
