Partnership agreements in the tourism and air transport sector were signed in Paris this week. |
We need to bring in more tourists. Several partnerships have been signed between promoters of Malagasy tourism and air transport, and the airline Air France. These agreements were signed with representatives of the Malagasy tourism and airline sector in Paris, on the sidelines of the Top Résa trade show on Wednesday. The partnership agreement signed between the National Tourist Office and Air France seals a strategic vision for 2025, if we believe the explanations provided by this office, present in Paris for the show. It also consists of “strengthening Air France’s support for the promotion of the Madagascar destination on the European market”. The two parties undertake to carry out joint communication actions to promote the island as an essential destination, we read in a press release from the ONTM.
On Thursday, a commercial agreement was also signed between Madagascar Airlines and Air France. With this other partnership, we plan to facilitate procedures for customers. It is expected to come into effect at the beginning of October and will allow flights from both airlines to be combined on a single ticket. Baggage procedures are also simplified.
This is the case for customers who, for example, come from Paris by Air France and who want to reach the main destinations of the domestic network of Madagascar Airlines, from Antananarivo, could check their luggage until their final destination, without needing to go through Tana to re-register.
