
The Pan -African Competition Prix Pierre Castel returns as every year since 2022.
This competition aims to support young people and innovative projects in the field of agriculture in Africa.
For 2025, the emphasis will be placed on innovation projects integrating technological progress and the deployment of digital technology in the agricultural sector and which are actively engaged in the preservation of the environment.
Funding that was readjusted to € 25,000 (against € 15,000 during the last edition), a mentoring, coaching and training program are at the end for each winner selected in the 7 subsidiaries of the Castel group who organize the competition: namely Castel El Djazaïr (Algeria), Brakina (Burkina Faso), Cameroon drinks (Cameroon) (Ivory Coast), Bracongo (RD Congo), Brasimba (RD Congo) and the star (Madagascar).
Young entrepreneurs from Madagascar will therefore be able to participate in the competition through the star.
The competition is open to young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 45, of Malagasy nationality and residing in Madagascar, at the head of a legal company in activity for at least a year.
Their project should aim for development including a measurable social, economic and environmental impact on the activity ecosystem. The project is also preparing a tailor -made support program for selected projects to allow them to open the way for an expansion of their project.
Applicants will be able to apply for the competition now until May 30.
The preselected files will benefit from a field visit by the jury, and will then be able to present their project in the sweet in front of the jury on June 30. The Malagasy competition or winner of the competition will be known that same day. He or she will then go to the supreme stage, and will face the Super juryin the running against the winners of the 6 other countries participating in the competition. This time, the super winner will be awarded a price of 35,000 euros to carry out his project.
