
Léa Randriamifidy is better known as Nanah, a great lady of Malagasy song, especially jazz, with her golden voice and his particular groove. She is celebrating her 60th anniversary this year.
In Madagascar, she stood out through the group “Ny Nanahary” and the set of Freddy Ranarison.
But Nanah left the country to continue his studies in Germany, in 1969, then in France, a few years later. It actively participates in the influence of Malagasy culture in Europe, often by setting up on stage and creating various shows.
On July 4, she gave a concert to the Sociocultural SPACE Saad Abssi in Gennevilliers, in France, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of her artistic life. She was thus able to celebrate this seventy artistic life in an atmosphere mixing gospel, soul, funk, jazz and traditional Malagasy songs, with many artists, professionals and amateurs. Among the guest artists were in particular the pianist and bass player Mamy Rakotofiriga. This concert has been specially organized by the AGRIM Gennevilliers association for Léa Randria, which has been a member since 2017. The association aims to promote the know-how of its members.

She then continues with ” Confused », A song she composed in her student room in Germany when she had the country’s pain. She was able to take the audience in an hour and a half musical journey, to revive these 60 years magically.
The Malagasy guitarist Van Frais Ravoajanahary who was in the audience, joined Nanah to the concert final, igniting the scene, in front of a conquered audience, who asked for more.
Van Frais Ravoajanahary will also be part of the quartet of musicians who will soon accompany Nanah to the world music festival, with a red carpet in Colombes. This next performance in the Paris region is scheduled for Sunday, August 17. She will perform a dozen titles there. But the concerts will not stop there for her. In particular, it plans to come to Madagascar for this celebration. The dates are not yet revealed yet.
