In a notice to its users published on February 2, the Embassy of Madagascar in France reveals a new price list for the issuance of visas from February 1, 2023.
In his consular note, Olivier Hugues Rija Rajhonson, Ambassador of Madagascar to France, details the new prices of entry visas, revised downwards compared to the previous prices applied since 2017:
- Short-stay non-immigrant visa (less than 90 days):
- Stay from 1 to 30 days: €20.00formerly billed at €27.00

The Malagasy consular authorities in France also recall that, since last September, tourists who visit Madagascar for 15 days or less and request their visa on arrival at the airport no longer have to pay the visa fee but only pay a tax of €10.00.
Madagascar has lifted its travel health restrictions on August 11, 2022 and therefore no longer requires tests before departure as well as on arrival. French and European tourists must obtain a visa to travel to Madagascar and this can be obtained on arrival or from an embassy. The issuance of the electronic visa (e-Visa) is still suspended due to a technical “upgrade” in progress for several months.
