Next Sunday, May 4 will be to mark with a white stone especially for rock fans. Iraimbilanja and Kiaka, two emblematic groups of Malagasy rock, will share the scene in the Théâtre de Verdure d’Antsahamanitra that day, for “Mozik’iray”.
Together in Antsahamanitra 30 years ago
The last time they gave a show together to Antsahamanitra dates back to around thirty years, according to the estimates of Nini, the Kiaka vocal lead.
The Mozika, an event agency partner of these cult groups for ten years, had the good idea to renew this formula which worked well in time. Airtel Madagascar, who supports Malagasy artists and in particular these talents of rock, among others, also wanted to be part of this adventure, to reaffirm his commitment to Malagasy culture.
So meet them together for a new musical adventure that promises to be spectacular. Besides, Nini specifies it well: it will be a show and not a concert.
40 years bathed in rock
Each of these two groups have 40 years of career in rock music. “” But even if we have all aged, we intend to give the best and we are still able to do it », Underlines Nini.
For the staging of the show, two scenes will be erected on D -Day. Each group will therefore have its own scene to be both facing the public at the same time.
Kiaka and Iraimbilanja will interpret, in turn, the tubes that have made their fame during all these years. But there will be a time when Iraimbilanja will sing Kiaka titles in their own way and vice versa. But they will also sing together, according to the planned program. In any case, the complicity between all these rock enthusiasts has not changed an iota. Their haste to play together on stage is even palpable, especially during the official presentation of this event in the premises of Airtel Madagascar located in Ivandry yesterday.
A 4 -hour repertoire
Each group has prepared around twenty titles, apart from the common interpretations. No title of the show’s repertoire has been revealed but what is certain is that they will certainly interpret the tubes that have made the renown of each group. Iraimbilanja, however, plans to unveil innovations. In any case, they promise a purely rock musical journey of at least 4 hours.
Another meeting in Moramanga
This common adventure will not stop there. After this show, the two groups will still share the scene towards the end of May, May 30 to be more precise, in Moramanga this time, with the same organizer and supported by the same partner.
