The final of a musical competition intended to reveal new Malagasy urban artists, who will occur in the first part of the Tiakola concert, will be held this Friday, May 30, 2025 in the Havoria Anosy auditorium. The event is part of the Tremplin Horizon, an initiative launched in April by Nasprod and KP Event, upstream of the concert, scheduled for June 11 at the Palais des Sports Mahamasina.
The Horizon springboard was designed as a selection and artistic preparation device, intended for young talents from the Malagasy music scene. It is addressed in particular to artists evolving in urban genres – RAP, RNB, Afro, or even fusion of traditional and contemporary music – and aims to offer them a first framed public exhibition.
The first phase of the project brought together around twenty candidates. After a series of preselections, then face-to-face hearings, five finalists were selected: Fab’s Brownz, Lil Muamar, Yetoon, Yu Ts-Teto and Sasouh. The latter will perform in front of jury and public, under conditions close to a professional concert. Everyone will perform three songs, without playback, and will be evaluated on criteria such as vocal interpretation, stage presence, artistic consistency and interaction with the public.
The final decision on the three artists who will ensure the first part will combine the opinion of the jury and an online vote, open to the public. Internet users will be able to express their preference via the official social networks of the Horizon springboard (@horizon_madagascar), by interacting with the publications associated with each candidate. The artist bringing together the most mentions “like”, comments and sharing will be designated as the “public choice” and will thus join the scene of the Palais des Sports in the first part of Tiakola.
The public is invited to support the artists in the final of May 30. All information is available on the Horizon Madagascar Facebook page without being limited to an event dimension, the organizers of the Horizon springboard present the initiative as a form of artistic support. Participants benefit from supervision on several aspects of musical practice: professional advice, stage preparation, media coverage. The announced objective is to strengthen the exhibition of local artists and to promote their progressive integration into professional circuits.
