
The men’s choir, Lehilahy Midera, the Christian men’s entity (SLK) of the FJKM TRENOVATO AMBATONAKANGA temple, celebrates its 25 years of existence this year. He will give a concert entitled EO An-Tanako (in my hands) this weekend.
The performance will be held this Sunday, June 22 at 3 p.m. on Sunday, 3 p.m. at the Temple of Ambatonakanga. It will be focused on the theme “and no one delivers from my hand” taken from the book of Isaiah Chapter 43, verse 13.
The history of the FJKM Ambatonakanga temple in light
The first part of the concert highlights the history of the cultural and no less cultural heritage of Madagascar, in particular that of the Temple of Ambatonakanga, identified by historians as the Malagasy Mother Church.
A documentary film retracing the beginning of the Mmmalgache Christian Church, the period of persecution of Christians, and highlighting the commemorative buildings of the Malagasy martyrs of the time will be projected.
This monument was classified as a cultural heritage of Madagascar in 1962
Lehilahy Midera was convinced that making known the history of this monument could improve and revive the feeling of belonging to contemporary citizens, guaranteeing a better future for the nation.
Seven titles, all compositions of Lehilahy Midera, will enhance this first part, including ” Jesoa mpanavotra “By David Ramasindraibe, or” Fenoy ny fitiavanao From J. Ramanamirija, among others.
Testimony of faith
The second part of the concert will be focused on the theme “man witness to faith”, to demonstrate the primordial role of the Christian man in the main mission attributed to him: to share the Gospel, in particular with the men of society.
A range of Malagasy evangelical songs such as: ” Ho vatolampiko “, A title composed by Mamy Nanahary in 1970, or” Fiainana Mandrakizay »From Ndriana Ramamonjy… and international works will be interpreted by Lehilahy will Midera in this second part. The praises of Hillsongs translated into Malagasy will also appear in the repertoire. We will find in particular ” Fanekena Taloha “(Ancient Words) by Lynn Deshazo, or” Asratratra Izy “(He is Exalted) by Twila Paris, to name only these titles.
The concert will be presented jointly with the Sampanasa Asa Fitoriana Filazantsara, the section in charge of the propagation activities of the Gospel, and the Fitoki association (Fikambanan’ny Tokantrano Kristiana Ifotony), both from the same FJKM temple.
The audience will be offered a small gift as a memory to mark the event. In addition, the concert is open to everyone and free of participation, according to the explanations.
