
The deep symbolism of water was celebrated through an unprecedented concert of choir Miangaly on Thursday July 3 at the Cité des cultures Antaninarenina.
This is the second chapter of his season ” Echoes of nature “. This year, indeed, Choir Miangaly has chosen to celebrate harmony between music and nature, exploring the sound landscapes of the planet Earth and the deep emotions they arouse.
Sing the water through cappella songs
The concert entitled ” Water … »» captivated the public, thanks to a myriad of songs in Capella on the precious theme of water. Another way of highlighting the aspects of water which, apart from being a source of life, can also be a source of inner peace and resources, reflecting the beauty of the world, without forgetting its unfathomable mystery and its ability to connect souls.
Each piece was preceded by a poignant narration, emphasizing the central themes of the concert: the quiet force of water, its symbolism as a mirror of the unconscious, its vital role in distant communities, the challenges and the hopes it represents, and its unwavering link with love and human resilience.
Human immersive experience
Under the direction of Antsanirina Rakotoarimino (RAHF), founder of this secular choir, this concert was a deep exploration of water as a metaphor of human experience. “” We wanted to offer the public an immersive experience, where each melody, each word, resonates with their own emotions and reflections on life ”explains the manager of this particular choir.
Several contemporary songs still unknown to the Malagasy music lover public was in the repertoire, including ” Pangalana Who particularly touched assistance. For the record, the Miangaly choir, founded in 2013, is a secular choir made up of around thirty singers, enthusiasts of classical music. With a well -colored and homogeneous vocal quality, highlighted by the youth of its members, the choir is especially comfortable with the repertoires of the Renaissance and the XXe century.
A unique structure
Having become semi-professional since 2020, the Miangaly choir is distinguished as the first choral structure to have a business status (through Connect Space Sarlu) in Madagascar. He thus marks a decisive turning point for the professionalization of choral music. Unlike traditional associative structures, business status allows choristers of the Miangaly choir to be remunerated for their art, making choral music a second valuing and sustainable profession.
This innovative model, unique in Madagascar, allows choristers to devote themselves fully to their art while ensuring their financial stability, a major asset for the development and professionalism of this field of art.
