The Sodiama showroom in Ankorondrano has turned into a bold artistic crossroads with the opening of the collective exhibition “Le Rond-Point” on Saturday. Five talented painting artists: Nancy Allototte, Natoa Rasolonjatovo, Dina Rabearivelo, Amir.j and Clipseean have united their universes to offer an unprecedented experience where visual art dialogues with automotive design. Open for free to the public from April 14 to May 4, this exhibition brings together more than 90 works, exploring various techniques such as glass painting, Echo Graffiti, watercolor, oil or even installations.
An innovative merger
“The roundabout” is not a simple exhibition: it is a meeting between two worlds, that of artistic creation and that of automotive innovation. “” We wanted to think outside the track and invest an unexpected place like an automotive showroom ”explains a Sodiama official. This hybrid project, a first for the company, aims to energize the sometimes austere image of dealers. “” Customers love cars, but you have to change the codes, revive this universe ”he adds. Thus, the works, often inspired by the movement and the automobile, harmoniously integrate into the exposed vehicles, creating a striking visual dialogue.
Artists, universes
Among the artists, Nancy Allototte, figurative painter of impressionist inspiration, transports visitors through Madagascar. “I travel throughout the country, I take photos, then I reinterpret these moments in paintings”she says. From brilliant rice fields to vibrant scenes of life, his works, made in watercolor, oil or acrylic, capture the light and raw beauty of the island. “” The roundabout is an artistic meeting place. Nos different styles intersect to please everyone, ”she explains, emphasizing the collaborative spirit of the event. For her part, Dina Rabearivelo marked the spirits during the opening with a live performance. In front of a captivated audience, he created an enigmatic painting representing a monkey king, painted upside down before revealing his secret once returned. This bold gesture embodies the innovative spirit of the exhibition.
A memorable evening
The opening was not content to reveal canvases. The evening was punctuated by a fashion show, adding a touch of glamor to this already rich event. Between the shards of colors of the paintings and the textile creations, “the roundabout” kept its promise: surprising and gathering. Until May 4, Sodiama opens its doors to art lovers and cars, but also to all the curious. “It is a way of revitalizing our space and showing that art can be invited everywhere”concludes the manager. Through this creative crossroads, the five artists prove that inspiration has no limits, and that even a showroom can become an open -air gallery.
