For several weeks, political life in Madagascar has focused on one point: the appointment of a Prime Minister. The whole country is currently awaiting the decision of President Hery Rajaonarimampianina. But on the other hand, each political party does their best and increases the number of meetings in order to have the majority in Parliament.
Concerning the MAPAR party, the reality is such that this political party still persists in claiming the designation of the new Prime Minister on the relative majority. After the rejection of Haja Resampa’s candidacy by President Hery Rajaonarimampianina, tension seems to have escalated between the latter and the MAPAR political party. For the moment, what is certain is that the MAPAR party is still in a state of shock and surprise. However, the President of the National Assembly recently made a confirmation regarding the submission of a list to the Presidency.
For its part, Vondrona Politika Miara-Dia/Malagasy Miara-Miainga (VPM/MMM) finds itself in a great moment in its history. Indeed, the Malagasy Miara-Miainga political party chaired by Hajo Andrianainarivelo very recently appeared. The party confirmed its support for President Hery Rajaonarimampianina, but still remains on guard according to sources. But one thing is certain, the MMM party has joined the race and not only that. He also joins the parties from the Platform for the Presidential Majority (PMP).
For their part, the TIM political party from the Ravalomanana movement has officially affirmed its legality. The Zanak’i Dada political group has also joined the TIM political party, undoubtedly to increase its strength. The political party affirmed the submission of a name for the post of Prime Minister to the Presidency.
The many political parties are active and doing everything possible, but the final decision rests with the Head of State Hery Rajaonarimampianina alone. All Malagasy people are also in the same state of mind regarding the appointment of this famous new Prime Minister. All attention seems to be focused on this question: who will be the next Prime Minister?
