“The presence of the Big Island at this show is a continuation of the tourism development policy led by the ministry, aiming to strengthen our positioning on the Eastern European market,” indicates the ministry of tourism. and crafts. Meetings with Bulgarian tour operators are included in the program of the Malagasy delegation. Added to this is the organization of an eductour in order to welcome “400 issuing tour operators this year”, specifies the ministry.

Indeed, the Madagascar destination attracts more and more tourists from this geographical area. The ministry speaks of a real increase in recent years. “The number of tourists from Eastern Europe to Madagascar increased from 6,472 in 2019 to 19,440 in 2023, demonstrating constant and promising growth,” continues the Ministry of Tourism and Crafts.

Last Saturday, November 25, is a date to be marked in the history of Madagascar and Bulgaria. For the first time, a charter flight from Bulgaria landed in Nosy Be with 175 passengers on board. The flight was operated by the company Flight Bulgaria.
