TOURISM FAIR - Promoters are working for the recovery

The press conference concerning the organization of the Tourism Good Deals Fair took place yesterday in Tsimbazaza.

The seventh edition of the Tourism Fair will be held from March 15 to 17 at the Antaninarenina garden. The opportunity to discover tourist circuits and products in a different light.

Tailor-made tourism and above all new products. These names can be perceived as sales terms full of neologisms, and yet! These are approaches that have proven themselves for some time. The opportunity presents itself once again to revitalize domestic tourism and diversify the products offered to a very important niche on a national scale. Professionals in the tourism industry will not miss the boat because, this year, the Tourism Good Deals Fair (Tsenaben’ny fizahantany) will resume. This is the annual meeting of tourism professionals which, for its seventh edition, will be held from March 15 to 17 in the Antaninarenina garden.

This event will be an opportunity for the eleven tour operators, specializing in “Tailor-Made Tourism”, to showcase their new tourism products. According to the explanations of Tsitohaina Andriamanohera, general director of tourism at the supervisory ministry, “the tourism fair is an opportunity to promote new circuits. It is not only tourism professionals who will advertise key sites, there is also this spirit of promoting regional tourist circuits. This is why regional tourism organizations will all be represented at this edition,” he said at the headquarters of the Ministry of Tourism and Crafts in Tsimbazaza yesterday.

In another light

According to recent studies carried out by the Ministry of Tourism, the national tourism industry benefits from potential whose resources have yet to be exploited. This is a niche of two million people. Visitors who could feed the national tourism network. Madagascar is aiming for one million visitors by 2028. A targeted objective which constitutes a real challenge for both the State and the private sector which are devoting themselves body and soul to it. However, for the recovery to be truly effective, national tourism also constitutes a sure guarantee. However, we will have to start somewhere. To do this, the Ministry of Tourism has opted for affordable offers by Malagasy households as well as tourist products that allow them to see the country in a different light. “National tourism, here as everywhere in the world, affects all categories of people in a society. The offers have diversified to allow all people wanting to embark on the adventure of discovering Madagascar to do so, and this with the means they have. This is why this fair was organized to allow everyone to discover these new products. The objective being to make this show an essential place for all residents wishing to discover Madagascar from a new angle for the Easter holidays for example,” insists the DG of Tourism.
