The adoption of the new tourism code is one of the priorities set by Viviane Dewa, new Minister of Tourism and Crafts. In 2022, a proposed law on the tourism code was submitted to the National Assembly, but it was not adopted. According to Minister Viviane Dewa, “to reach one million tourists by 2030, certain points need to be improved, such as the adoption of this tourism code. There is no miracle to go from 260,000 tourists to a million tourists,” she says.
