The Ministry of Tourism and Crafts plans to organize educational tours to welcome 400 outgoing tour operators this year with the aim of raising awareness and promoting the Madagascar destination. This project will be presented to Bulgarian tour operators during the Holiday & Spa international tourism fair, where Madagascar is present as a partner country.

The number of tourists from Eastern Europe to Madagascar increased from 6,472 in 2019 to 19,440 in 2023, demonstrating steady and promising growth. The presence of Madagascar as a partner country at the Holiday & Spa international tourism fair in Sofia, Bulgaria, is part of the continuity of the tourism development policy carried out by the ministry, aiming to strengthen its positioning on the tourism market. Madagascar is present from March 13 to 15 at the Holiday & Spa international tourism fair in Bulgaria, with a delegation led by Minister Joël Randriamandranto.
