For a week, Kevina Volazara and Yanisse Djaafari proudly wear the titles of Miss and Mister Malagasy 2025. At the end of a coronation evening on November 16, in Savigny-Le-Temple, they won over the jury and the public. Focus on these standard bearers for 2025.
There were 26 young men and women competing for the sash of Miss and Mister Malagasy but in the end, Kevina Volazara and Yanisse Djaafari won the coronation. They therefore succeed Stephanie Floriana Randriantsoa and Andy Rasolo. The first runner-up, Fitia Rakotoarisoa placed in front of Marina Andrianoelison. In the Mister category, Jason Sovolory comes in second position ahead of Vincent Fetisoa. For the organizers of the event, the objective has been achieved. Being a candidate for Miss Mister Malagasy then becomes a dream to cherish for young Malagasy people. Like every year, a region of Madagascar will be chosen, in which schools will benefit from school supplies collected over time. Especially since Yanisse will certainly collect additional sports equipment.
Road trip. As with their predecessors, their arrival is planned for next year, with the aim of roadtripping. They will meet children from the most remote areas of these provincial capitals to distribute school kits. With a busy schedule, they will have the difficult task of providing assistance to disadvantaged children, particularly those who go to school but who do not necessarily have the means to stay there. The social and charitable actions of the miss and mister will tend to encourage and help parents to send their youngest children to school and that these children have a better chance of building a better future by acquiring a good academic foundation. As today’s children are the future of Madagascar, it is crucial to give them the necessary tools so that they can go as far as possible, and school is undeniably part of this. As ambassadors, these young people will have an important role to play in representing national culture, values, and traditions while participating in diplomatic and charitable events. At the same time, they serve as a model for young people encouraging individual aspirations and social commitment. Their impact also extends to promoting tourism and commerce, raising awareness of social causes and redefining beauty standards towards inclusion and diversity. Thus, their role goes far beyond that of a simple figure of beauty encompassing multiple spheres for a significant impact on society.
Yanisse Djaafari “Valuing my country and lifting it up within it”
“ Don’t let anyone come to you without leaving happier ”, this is his credo. At the age of 24, Yanisse Djaafari, representative of Mahajanga, was named Mister Malagasy 2025. A graduate in international business, the young man aspires to do his part to encourage parents to send their children to school as long as possible. Fitting perfectly with the objectives of the competition, he will be able to work in this direction for a whole year to be the ambassador of the cause. His first words as Mister, “It is an immense pride to have been elected Mister Malagasy 2025, I still find it difficult to realize… I would like to thank all the people who supported me, from near and far. Thank you to the entire committee, the coaches, the former candidates, the 2025 candidates as well as the photographers. The love and solidarity that reign within this large family played a huge role in my success. I can’t wait to be able to help and make Madagascar shine. This year 2025 is going to be incredible”. Currently a project manager, Yanisse is used to putting together concrete action plans to carry out each design. A real asset for his role as Mister Malagasy. “I would like to take advantage of my status as mister to reach out to my community and help them as best I can thanks to the exposure and the means at my disposal. I would like to be able to set up several projects in this direction in order to both promote my country and make it known but also take it upwards within it.”
Kevina Volazara “Act with the strength and determination of a lioness”
Representative of Ambilobe, Kevina Volazara, for her part, wears the crown of Miss Malagasy 2025. At 20 years old, the young woman believes in the importance of representing the beauty, culture and values of Madagascar. Especially since his commitment to Malagasy culture is deeply rooted in his identity. Acting with the strength and determination of a lioness is her golden rule. “I grew up valuing our unique traditions, dances, music and customs. After this election, I feel immense gratitude. I am happy to finally be able to quench this thirst to share my culture and to realize, on my own scale, a humanitarian project that is so close to my heart,” she says. Aiming to become a chartered accountant, Kevina practices dancing and has a particular interest in scouting. “ I will seek to improve the living conditions of Malagasy people by supporting causes such as education, health, and economic development of disadvantaged communities. As Miss Malagasy, I will be a positive role model for young people, encouraging them to believe in themselves and to invest in actions contributing to the progress of our society. Finally, I am committed to continuing my personal growth and contributing positively to my community and my country every day. »
