Emirates offers four destinations from Tana

Emirati aircraft are recognized for their quality.

In a week, the Emirates airline will begin operations in the Malagasy sky with four weekly flights.

The arrival of Emirates in Madagascar marks a major step for the development of tourism in the country. From the capital Antananarivo, the airline will offer connections to four key international destinations: London (United Kingdom), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Malé (Maldives) and Karachi (Pakistan). These new connections offer promising prospects for the Malagasy tourism sector. Operations will begin on September 3.

This initiative aims to facilitate access for international tourists to Madagascar, thereby contributing to the government’s objective of reaching one million visitors by 2030. The collaboration with Emirates represents an important step towards achieving this ambition.

The fares offered by Emirates are competitive with those of other airlines flying to the same destinations from Madagascar. For example, for a flight between Tananarive and Dubai, prices vary from $420 to $1,631, depending on the travel class chosen, while another company offers prices ranging from $425 to $1,002 for the same destination.

According to information available on the Emirates website, prices for flights to London range between $934 and $1,697, those to Dubai between $420 and $1,631, to Male between $1,101 and $1,329, and to Karachi between $882. and $1,110.

The flights will be operated by Boeing 777-300ERs, offering optimal comfort with eight suites in First Class, forty-two in Business Class and three hundred and ten seats in Economy Class. This new offer complements that of Air Mauritius, which also operates flights to Dubai with Airbus A350s.

Previously, Malagasy travelers wishing to travel to international hubs had to go through Nairobi or Addis Ababa, involving stopovers and flight changes. Emirates now offers direct flights, considerably simplifying journeys.
