The Ivokoloaina Clinic, a private clinic specializing in oncology, and the KoloMahaolo space, both located in Loharanombato Ampitatafika, organize a discussion meeting one Thursday a month.
For this year, the first meeting “ Resadresaka » of the year will take place on Thursday January 23 at Espace Kolomahaolo.
This monthly meeting will begin with a screening of the short film “ Standing ! » by Felana Rajaonarivelo, an accomplished photographer and filmmaker.
This film, which has already received numerous international awards, will serve as a starting point for a moment of discussion and exchange, around the theme of resilience.

This documentary immerses the viewer in the inspiring journey of four women who, despite their disabilities, were able to stand “up” and inspire their communities.
Among them: Fela, dedicated director of a center for disabled children. She was affected by polio at the age of three. She is currently fighting to provide education and opportunities to young Malagasy people with disabilities.
The second heroine, Lahatra, was born with only one leg. She became an author and speaker. She shares her story of resilience and determination in her autobiographical book and through speaking engagements across the country.
Nourina, the third model of resilience in the film, was also affected by polio as a child. She is a restaurateur and runs a catering business in Majunga.
Finally, Marie-Claire had her feet amputated when she was just a month old. An illness and an intramuscular drug injection are the cause. She is currently a crocheter and street vendor, becoming a source of inspiration to her community.
The atypical journey of these four women of enormous courage is intended to be a source of hope for all those who need the strength of resilience and determination, regardless of the situation they are going through. This is precisely the purpose of these discussion meetings. This first edition will begin at 11 a.m. this Thursday.
